My favorite animal: The Goat

I don´t really have a favorite animal so i´m going to choose a animal i like a lot, and it is the Goat.

The Goat is an artidactyl and they are gregarious animals.

I like it a lot because it is very friendly and funny, i like the noise it does, i think it is great because it gives you milk and you also can have cheese of goat.

It is a quiet animal, easy to manage, it can be adapted to many environments since arid regions to warm regions.

Last year i took an elective and i had to work with two littles goats every day, i had to weigh them to saw how was the diary growing, so i learned a lot of this animals, i realize that the goats are very scary because when i took them in my arms they "screamed" a lot, on the other hand if you get close to them with a bit of grass they come to you immediately and them let you caress, that is a thing i like a lot!
A bad thing about goats is that they can cause soil damages with them foots.

Another important thing about goats is that you can found a lot of races within this you can found angora goat this is a funny race because it has a lot of hair, is like a rastafari XD! and it is from Asia, depending on the race is the better or worse production of milk, a very good goat of milk is the saanen goat it is originary from swiss, it is white and some times it can have specks.

So about of all this things i choose the Goat! i really think they are great animals!

WHAT TO DO / WHERE TO GO IN SANTIAGO

I think there are a lot of differents things to do and places to visit in Santiago but one of the places i like more and i will recommend is the San Cristóbal Hill if you are a tourist and you like cicling you can rent a bike and go up to the top and enjoy the amazing view, in the way to the top you can found the japanese garden and the mapulemu garden in here you can found a lot of diferent plants and trees typicals of differents areas of Chile.
At the top you can drink a delicious Mote con huesillo and you can buy some gifts or regards, also you can visit the church and the virgin. Another thing you can do if you don´t like cicling or walking you can take the teleferico anda enjoy of a beautiful view of Santiago, at the top you can take the funicular and go to the zoo that is another place you can visit in Santiago, in there you can find a lot of differents kinds of animals.
Another place to visit is the Bellas Artes Museum because it has a beutiful infraestructure, it has a lot of history and in here you can see many interesting expositions.
If you like the adventure you can spend your day in Cajon del Maipo in there you can go camping, do some excursions, rafting, horseback riding, i think in here you can find all you want and the flora and fauna is fascinating.
Another typical place to visit is the central Mercado, it has a very old and beutiful infraestruture and in here you can found seafood and typical chilean food, so i think is a good place to visit.
These are some of the places i think a tourist have to visit in Santiago.

SEPTEMBER

I think the eleven of September is the best date of the year because it has it all!
In this date you can eat a lot of delicious things like: roast lambs, anticuchos, choripanes, etc.
Also you can drink chicha if you like it, elevate kites and the thing i like most is dance cueca!!!
If you are lucky to have vacations you can go out of Santiago, and if you don´t have all the week you can stay here and go to the fondas to dance some cuecas and drink and eat good!
This is the best celebration you can spend time with the family and with your friends; you can buy a kite and go somewhere to elevate it and have a lot of fun doing this.
Anothe thing you can do is that if you are near Coquimbo you can go to the pampilla celebration where people come from all over. In there you can find a lot of things like typical games (sack races, hopscotch,etc.), typical food, live music and all people happy having fun!

So for me this date is very important because units people and because is typcal of Chile, you can´t find this things in other places, so we must be proud of this date and we must enjoy it!

The land of oportunities

I would like to go to New Zeland because two of my brothers live there, they went there looking for better oportunities and they found it.
I think it´s a beautiful country, it has many beaches and also it has so many forests, the weather is very nice, and more of the people surfs and goes to the beach every day.
Gisborne, the city where my brothers live is very quiet, people finish work at four. It’s a very clean city, nobody runs, there is no stress and I think because of that people is very friendly.
I would like to travel there when I finish my studies, and work like a vet because hear that in this country vets has very good opportunities, but if I can´t work like this it doesn´t matter I can work in other thing (my brothers at first worked picking fruits and they make good money) and save some money to travel all around New Zeland (North and South island) with one of my brother because the other is married and has a little child who was born in New Zeland.
Another thing i like is that there aren´t stray dogs, because if some person would like to have a dog he or she has to pay for it.
This are some of the things why I would like to travel, and live at New Zeland.

GOOD AND BAD POINTS

The first term was very good, because i approve all my asignatures, and i studied a lot for all my tests and i learned many things.
One of my assignatures during the term was animal behavior, i liked a lot because was about all things that animal do in their environment, like how they interact, reproduce, how “mothers” rais their calves and a lot of more things very interesting.
Another course i took was animal welfare, this was a elective and i liked a lot because it was about all cares that animals need and sometime people don’t worry about these. It was nice because we went to the zoo, and we take a look about how was the situation of animals in there, also a veterinary of the department of enviromental enrichement at the zoo gave us a talk and we learnd a lot.
During the last term i practice football at university, i loved it, the trainings were twice a week and we had games all Saturdays morning, because we are competing in a championchip. These year we have a new coach and he is very nice and motivator and because of that the team is doing better these year.
Another thing i did a lot was cicling, once a week i bike up the San Cristóbal hill with a friend, it was very funny, and we took some pictures and make videos. Cicling is one of the things i like more to do.
These are some of the things i did at the last term; in cloncusion it was a very nice first term, i enjoy it a lot.
